Top 6 Best Free Recycle Bin Apps for Android in 2023 Recommended By Experts

Being flawed is human and so, we always make sure we have some sort of failed clearance to watch our steps. There are some bugs that you can easily fix but then there are some other types from which you cannot recover. Take for example the document you worked on for several months. Press the Delete button when selecting the wrong file, and that's what you've been doing for months. This is especially problematic on Android as there is no official Recycle Bin app support. That's where recycle bin applications can save you. Recycle Bin applications for Android help you recover accidentally deleted files. I believe every Android user should use these apps. So, if you are interested in such applications, here are the best recycle bin applications for Android that you can use in 2020.

The best recycle bin app for Android in 2020

1. Dumpster

Dumpster is one of the best options for people looking for a good reusable bin app for Android. The application claims to recover and recover your deleted image and video files in seconds, and it does just that, though. In my tests I found that the app was able to recover most of the images I deleted which is definitely a good thing. That said, it failed on some occasions so there is a possibility that you may not be able to recover something that is important to you. The app also has a 'Deep Scan Recovery' feature which can alleviate the problem to some extent.

You can give Dumpster a shot, but make sure you copy any file by checking it. In addition to the reusable bin feature, the app also has an 'Auto Clean' feature that permanently removes deleted files from your device, support for 14 languages, and cloud storage capabilities allow you to securely store your important documents on the Internet.

2. File Commander

File Commander is a handy file manager application for your Android device that comes with a reusable bin feature. The feature works for almost all file types and will really come in handy if you accidentally delete an important file from your device.

The feature can be found on the app's home page and all recently deleted files will be listed in a convenient list from which you can recover the files you need or permanently delete the files you need. Again, the File Commander's Recycle Bin feature only works with files that are deleted from the application and not those that are deleted elsewhere.

It should be noted that while most of the features of File Commander are available for free, there is no reusable BIN feature and it is only available in the premium version of the app which can be purchased from the free version.

3. Simple Gallery

As the name implies, Simple Gallery is not a complete recycle bin app, but it does come with a great recycling bin feature. As you may have noticed, on Android, it is almost impossible to track every file and folder deleted from other applications without your root features. And with more stringent storage permissions in the latest Android version, providing a full recycle bin for an app has become even tougher. All you can do in this situation is the Gallery app as your default photo management app. Whenever you delete a photo from Simple Gallery, it will be transferred to the Recycle Bin within the app. That way, you'll always be careful about what you do.

Having said that, of the many Android Gallery apps, I chose General Gallery for two special reasons. It's as simple as any photo gallery app and has no ads, no bloatware, no cloud connection, nothing. It only shows your media files in chronological order and that's about it. If you delete an image or video from the application, it goes to the Recycle Bin folder at the top. If you want to move the Recycle Bin folder to the bottom, you can do so from the Settings page.

4. Recycle Master

Looking for Recycle Bin apps for Android that backup everything you've deleted and allow you to easily recover important files? Then the Recycle Master application is your best bet. The application works like a recycle bin on your Windows PC, storing all your deleted files in one convenient place.

Recycle Master
If you accidentally delete an important file, the file will be added to the Recycle Master's home page under the "Recent Move" section, allowing you to recover the file with a single tap. However, if you can't find a specific file, the Recycle Master features a 'Deep Recovery' feature.

5. DiskDigger

DiskDigger is an easy to use recycle bin app that you can download. This is especially good if you have an original Android device. Although the app works on rootless devices, it is only able to recover deleted photos from your internal storage because it can only perform a 'limited' scan. On rooted devices, you can use Disk Digger for deep-scan which can be used to recover both photos and videos.

DiskDigger
Once you have recovered your file, DiskDigger gives you the option to conveniently delete all unnecessary files with a single tap which will delete them completely from your phone's storage. However, make sure that you have recovered all your important applications before tapping the 'Clean Up' button so that you will not be able to recover any deleted files using this method.

Another unique feature about the app is that it gives users the option to choose whether they want to recover the deleted file, whether it's in a cloud storage service of their choice or in a specific folder in the main directory of their smartphone. However, in my experiments I noticed that if I retrieve an image file to my local storage it does not appear in the gallery and can only be accessed using the file manager application. Also, if you want support for more file types, you can choose DiskDigger Pro, which is available in the Google Play Store for 2.99.

6. Mixplorer

MixPlorer is again an Android file manager, but it has a recycle bin which is of interest to us in this article. You can use MacSplorer in addition to Simple Gallery to make a complete solution against the lack of a complete recycle bin on Android devices. General Gallery can take care of all your images, videos and GIFs. Where MixPlorer can handle all your deleted files and folders, be it PDF files or songs.

The feature can be accessed by tapping the hamburger menu button in the top left corner of the app and selecting the ‘Trash’ tab from the Slide Out menu. The tab lists all images / videos that have been deleted in the last 60 days, whether to return them to your original gallery or delete them permanently.

Note that this feature only works for deleted images / videos from the Google Photos app and will not work if you delete files using another gallery application or file manager. Also keep in mind that the images / videos in the 'Ganji' tab will be automatically deleted 60 days after they were removed from the main gallery, so it's best to restore them while they're still available.
