Cvigil App Login- During the launch of Cvigil for the Telangana Assembly elections, over 5,300 cases of violation of election rules were uploaded, of which around 4,000 were declared genuine and action was taken. While the app's operation was initially limited to Android-based systems, it has now expanded to iOS-powered phones as well, with GPS location trackers installed on all vehicles assigned to mobile teams. The new Civgil app launched by the Election Commission of India is expected to fill all these gaps and create a fast-track complaint receiving and redressal mechanism. 'CVIGIL' stands for Vigilant Citizen and emphasizes the active and responsible role citizens can play in conducting free and fair elections.
Currently, there is a lack of immediate information channels to disseminate and track complaints of MCC violations. Delays in reporting violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) often lead to criminals escaping the Election Commission's flying squads deployed to ensure implementation of the Model Code of Conduct. Moreover, lack of evidence in the form of any documents, incidentals, photographs or videos was a major hurdle in establishing the veracity of an allegation. The Commission's experience also showed that a significant percentage of reports were inaccurate or incorrect, resulting in valuable time being wasted by field units. Mr. Meena said that wherever MCC violations are noticed, it is a weapon in the hands of citizens to register complaints and bring such violations to the notice of election officials.

Civigil provides time-stamped evidence of model code of conduct/expenditure violations with live photos/videos along with auto location data. This unique combination of timestamping, live photos with automatic positioning can be relied upon extensively to navigate live photos to the right place and take quick action. GIS-based dashboards provide a powerful decision-making tool to pre-empt and dispose of trivial and irrelevant issues, thereby reducing the workload of the electoral machinery on past grievances. Once a complainant uploads the information related to election code of conduct violation through his mobile, the concerned district election officer will hand it over to the nearest inspector (field unit) for verification within five minutes. The field team shall reach the spot within 15 minutes to ensure that action is taken on the complaint and a report shall be sent to the District Level Officers/Returning Officers within 30 minutes.
The Chief Electoral Officer said that people have effectively started using the app to register complaints of violations of the code of conduct, with over 11,000 complaints received so far. Of these, more than 7,000 are from Kannur. In fact, voters successfully used this facility in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, when around 64,000 complaints were received. Of these, 58,000 originals were found, following which action was taken. The Election Commission's Civgil Citizen mobile app, developed for quick receipt and resolution of complaints related to Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violations, seems to be a hit with voters in the state.

If you want to get the Cvigil Android Version, then go through Google Play Store.
Then search for Cvigil App on Google Play Store.
After the Cvigil Application appears in the list.
Tap on the first application shown in the list.
Now the application is being downloaded.
Once the application is downloaded, click to install it.
After the installation, you can open it to use.
The Process of Cvigil App Login by Mobile Number
First, you need to open the app on the device.
Then enter the valid mobile number for OTP.
Once the OTP Sends to the mobile number, enter them to verify.
After the verification, you will be redirected to the User Profile Section.
Now select the checkbox and click to verify now icon.

Steps to Check Complain Status on CvigilApp
Any user can use this application to check their complaint status on the device. For this, you have to open the application and then click on the Status Bar in the Cvigil Application. The recent status will be displayed on the screen. Users can check the status of successfully submitted complaints by going back to the menu screen and selecting a Status option. This will lead to another status screen as we see below where the complaints are placed in one of three options.
The login screen gives the user two options to sign in to the application:
1. Submissions: Number of successful complaints submitted in green.
2. Failed: Number of failed complaints in red.
3. In Progress: The total number of complaints is in progress.
4. Total: The total number of complaints filed by the user.
