What is Google Assistant Ambient Mode?
To get you started, you can
say that Google Assistant's ambient mode is an embedded feature on Android
phones that take your lock screens while charging your phone. The idea is for
users to see if they have a notification without too much hassle when the phone
is not charging.
You usually keep your phone
separate when the battery is depleted. Now, you don't want to use it, but you
don't want any notifications as well. In ambient mode, you'll get notifications
from all those apps without having to open your lock screen or flash your
screen saver. The ambient mode screen will remain quiet and display an icon for
applications whose notification is on your phone. You can check if there is
anything important. All you have to do is unlock your phone. Another feature
offers users to manage Google Home devices directly from your Ambient Mode
lock-screen, which gives you an easy way to control your home appliances.
This way, you can allow your
phone to charge continuously without using it, and you won't miss any relevant
text or task notifications on your phone. Also because it is powered by Google
Assistant, you can use Voice Assistant to access mail, contacts, calls, etc.
directly from Ambient Mode lock-screen.
