TOP 5 BEST NEW FREELANCING SITES EVERYONE SHOULD JOIN

Freelancing is a competitive field of business. It's hard for some to believe that working from home using a computer takes a lot of effort, but only freelancers know the real fight behind the scenes.

Millions of freelancers from different fields are competing for jobs through sites like Freelancer.com and Upwork. The competition is fierce and offering lower prices than others is no longer an option for clients to score. So you have to be on the lookout for new opportunities.

In early March 2015, when Envato Studio announced the launch of a new content writing section on the platform, I was delighted to join and offer my services. I am one of the first freelancers to join this new department and provide services from the first day of launch. The job started from day one and even today it is still one of my main sources of income.

Thanks to its very low competition, I was able to go even further in several days and get the rocket to the top of the department, featured as a service offered under the Content Writing section at Envato Studios.

So, always look for new freelancing sites to join and offer your services. Join new brand new sites and be the first to start your competition. Here are some new and growing sites that can help you get started. Envato Studios was my breakthrough, you may be on this list.
TOP 5 BEST NEW FREELANCING SITES EVERYONE SHOULD JOIN

1. Truelancer

Truelancer is one of the brand new freelancing sites on its way to becoming the next big platform for outsourcing work. Trillancer gives you the opportunity to sell your services as a jig as a fiber and also apply for projects posted by clients.

You can join the site for free and start providing your services. Trollancer charges a service fee of 10%, which can be reduced to 3% if you wish to subscribe to a paid subscription plan. Your payment can be withdrawn via PayPal, Payonar or bank transfer.

Many freelancers are still unaware of this new platform. This is your chance to shine on the web and start your freelancing career.

2. Outsource.com

Over 95% of the freelancers on Outsource.com are based in the US, but that doesn’t it’s not effective for people from other countries. However, Outsource.com may not be the ideal site to get started as a newbie freelancer because the site’s competition is tough.

You’ll have a better chance at scoring clients if you first build your reputation and make a name for your field of work before joining the site to offer your services. The site also requires a subscription, which starts at $16.99 per month and billed as a 6 month payment. But if you couldn’t find work in a 6 month period, the site will extend your subscription for the next 6 months for free.

Paypal, Wire Transfer, and Paper Check are few of the methods of payment on Outsource.com.

3. Toptal

Toptal is not really a new freelancing site. It’s been around for about five years. But the site is quite restrictive when it comes to accepting new freelancers. Similar to Envato Studio, Toptal only accept experienced freelancers with a solid background. According to the website’s description, Toptal has developed a rigorous screening process to identify the best and accepts only the top 3% of freelance talent.

If you could get your account approved by Toptal, you’ll be guaranteed to land some quality and high paying jobs from reputable companies around the world, such as Airbnb, Zendesk, and Artsy. If you’re a freelance designer or a developer, Toptal is the ideal place to grow.

4. Demand Media

Demand Media is a network that creates content for popular brands such as USA Today, Radioshack and more. The site has an exclusive platform called StudioD for creative freelancers to join and complete projects offered by their clients.

A great thing about this site is that you don’t have to go look for clients on your own. The site already has a portfolio of brands working with them and Demand Media will bring clients to you whenever they need your expertise.

Writing, video editing, photography, design, are some of the categories you can work with on this site. However, you will need an established background in the freelancing world to get accepted to this new network.

5. College Recruiter

According to a survey, “almost nine in 10 university graduates with first or second class degrees see freelancing as a lucrative career choice.” College Recruiter is a freelancing site exclusive to college students and recent graduates, especially in the US, helping them to get started on their freelancing career quickly without having to deal with big competition.

Start off with a niche and exclusive site like College Recruiter will give you a head start into your freelancing career. It even allows you to join internships and apply for entry-level jobs offered by colleges, universities, and top-level employers.

Freelancing is now considered to be just as a serious profession than any other field of work in the world. It’s not only a great way to earn more for you skills and get recognition, but also gives you the proper value for your experience while providing you with financial freedom and independence to work for yourself at your own pace.

Don’t take my word for it, if someone’s making you doubt the future of freelancing or starting your career in freelancing, just show them the results of these studies and surveys.
