Steps to Add Multiple Photos to Instagram Post and Story - Working Method

Someone has rightly said that a picture is worth a thousand words. But many times a picture is not enough to tell a story. Adding a few photos at once helps to better express the story and emotions. For the longest time, Instagram only allowed one picture to be added to each story. Fortunately, things have changed for the better, and you can add multiple photos to each story. And the same is true for Instagram posts.

There are two ways to add multiple photos to an Instagram story. You can either go straight and create a collage. Or, you can use the photo sticker option. The latter looks better because it gives you the flexibility to sort the photos to your liking.

The only way to go about it is to add multiple photos to Instagram posts.

So here's a way to add multiple photos to an Instagram post or story.

How to add multiple pictures to an Instagram story

1. Use layout

The layout tool lets you choose from a variety of collages. Other than that, it's simple and easy to use. The good thing is that you can post instant photos or pick one from your phone's gallery.

Step 1: Swipe right to your Instagram homepage to open the story. As shown below, tap the small arrow on the left

Step 2: Select Layout from the list and tap on Change Grid Options. Choose the grid of your choice.

All you have to do is click on the photo. Alternatively, you can tap the photo icon in the lower-left corner to select photos from your phone's gallery.

Once done, tap the tick button in the center. That's it.

Add all the necessary stickers and details and the photo is ready to share with your followers

2. Use photo stickers

But if you ask me, layout grids can be a little tough. If you want more 'fun' ways to add multiple photos to Insta stories, you can't go wrong with the built-in photo sticker option. This allows you to add a bunch of photos at once.

Step 1: Open the story and pick a picture from the gallery. Alternatively, you can make a click on the scene.

Step 2: Tap the sticker icon at the top and scroll down until you see the photo sticker option.

All you have to do now is pick a photo from your phone's gallery to add to the story

And it doesn't end there. Tap to turn photos into adorable shapes From stars to circles, you can experiment with different shapes.

Alternatively, you can adjust the image size and orientation. Just pull out the pinch to enlarge the picture.

Repeat the steps above to add as many photos as you want Once done, give a finishing touch by adding a suitable sticker. Then, tag and share.

Fortunately, Instagram does not discriminate between ordinary stories and stories with collages.

Step 1: Once you have added all the photos, tap on the sticker icon and select the music.

Step 2: Choose a song from the available list or do a search.

Instagram automatically allocates the best part of the song. However, you can always scrub to find the part that interests you.

Tap the font icons to change the style of the song. However, if you do not want to display the lyrics, just tap the small cross icon

When everything is OK, press the Done button. Ready to share your story now.

How to add multiple photos to an Instagram post

Instagram posts have the feature of adding multiple pictures. It's a straightforward process. For now, you can add up to 10 photos at once

Step 1: Tap the plus icon at the top-right to add a new post. Next, tap the resize icon on the left.

This will prevent non-square photos from being cropped automatically.

Step 2: Once done, tap the multiple small photo-icons on the right and select the photos you want to upload.

The real protagonist of this feature is the edit option. You can choose the same filter for all photos. Or, you can select individual filters for each image. To do this, tap the circular icon in the bottom-left corner.

Once you've finished editing, add an interesting caption and share. That's it!
