Basically, the site administrator can disable copy / paste functionality using CSS / Javascript. So, if we disable JavaScript for that particular website, we can copy / paste the protected data from that website.

In this article, we will look at TWO (2) simple ways we can enable ourselves to copy the contents of a secure website. The following points will be discussed:

Manually blocks JavaScript for that website

As discussed above, if we disable JavaScript for that particular website, we may be able to copy / paste the content of that website.

So go to the menu icon in your browser -> go to Settings -> "Show Advanced Settings" -> click under the "Privacy" box, select "Content Settings" -> Go to "JavaScript" and select "Allow". Make an entry on the website and set its value to "Block".

That's it !!! Now, refresh the page of the website, now you can right click and copy the text / content on that web page.

Using the Chrome extension "Allow Copy"

A Google Chrome extension: Copy permissions are also available for this work. This extension will allow you to enable "Select, Copy, Paste and Right Click" on any web page.

Step 1. First download this extension in your browser by clicking here and add: "Allow copying".

Step 2. An icon will be created in the address bar. Go to the website where you want to copy the text and click the "Allow Copy" icon in the address bar. It will go from "off" to "a blue tick", which means it has been activated on that website

Step 3. Now, you can select any protected text, image on that web page.
