How to Remove a Remembered Account on Instagram?

But things are different with Instagram. To avoid the hassle of remembering your login details, Instagram keeps them fast for you to log in quickly.

1. Remove account locally
If you are logged into your account
Turn on Instagram on your device.
Go to your profile page/profile
Tap the hamburger icon at the top right of your screen.
Go to Settings.
Tap to log out of your username.
In the popup box, choose not to remember your login information.
The above steps apply when you want to remove your Instagram account after logging in to the app. If you want to do this without logging in, use the method below.
If you are logged out of the account
Make sure you're logged out of Instagram.
Open the Instagram app.
Tap the three vertical dots next to the login button of an account.
Tap Remove.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each account listed on the page.
2. Log out of Facebook
Facebook owns Instagram; So, users can log in to Instagram using their Facebook credentials.
If you do this, the other solution in this guide may not work for you.
To remove the Instagram account from your phone when you log in to the Facebook app, you need to sign out of Facebook.
Next, launch the Instagram app and you'll notice that you've successfully deleted your Instagram account from the phone.
You can proceed to login to Facebook again.
3. Clear data from settings
Open the Settings app on your Android device.
Go to the app (it can be apps and notifications or app manager, depending on your device and android version).
Find Instagram from the list of apps and tap on it.
Tap on Storage.
Select the Clear Storage or Clear Data option.
4. Change your password
Changing your password will keep you logged in to the phone on which you changed it. However, it logs you out of other devices that have your account logged in.
Launch the Instagram app.
Go to your profile page.
Tap the hamburger icon in the upper right corner.
Go to Settings.
Tap on Security.
Choose a password.
Type in your current password and your new, preferred password.
Save settings.
How To Remove Instagram Memory Accounts On iPhone
On Android, Instagram offers the 'Remove' option directly on the home page. Things work a little differently on the iPhone though. You need to make some changes in the Instagram settings menu.
Before we get started, let me show you the default behavior on the iPhone. When you try to log out of your Instagram account, it shows up on the Instagram home (shown in the image below). With one tap, you can open an account.

Follow the steps below to remove Instagram remembered accounts
Open Instagram on your iPhone and login to your account.
Go to the Accounts tab and tap the Hamburger menu in the top right corner.
Navigate to Settings → Security Saved login information.
Go to the login information saved from your Instagram account on the iPhone
Now, toggle the saved login information from the following menu.
Instagram will ask you to confirm your decision. Select Remove from the following pop-up menus.
Use the back arrow in the top right corner to go back to the Instagram settings menu.
To remove toggle login information stored on Instagram on iPhone, select Remove
Scroll down and select Log out of the current account.
Instagram will ask you to remember or forget the current account information. Select Not Now from the following pop-up menu.
Select No Now before logging out of Instagram account on iPhone
Confirm your decision and tap log out.
That's it. You have successfully logged out of your Instagram account without any trace. Next time, Instagram will ask for your account password for the login process. Safe and secure.
Removing saved login information from multiple Instagram accounts
Nowadays, many users choose two Instagram accounts for personal and professional use. In this case, Instagram offers the option to remove the account from the home screen. Follow the steps below to learn more.
Go to the Instagram settings menu and log out of both accounts.
From Instagram Home, you can see both accounts ready with one tap.
Tap the small edit button at the bottom.
Tap the x sign next to the account you want to remove.
Following the pop-up menu, Instagram will confirm your decision. Select Remove, and the app will forget the account login details.
Personally, I like the benefits offered by Instagram here. But instead of allowing the user to access the account with a single tap, it would be great to have biometric authentication such as Face ID or Touch ID to further strengthen the security of the account.
