One of the many entertainment features of Snapchat is "Snapstreak". With Snapstreak, you are committed to sending at least one photo or video snap to someone within 24 hours every day. The goal is to achieve the highest streak score by maintaining daily exchange.

Snapchat sends a warning to its users when they are about to lose their streak (close to the 24-hour mark). But sometimes, it is not possible to maintain your style. If this happens to you, read on to find out how to recover your streak.

Before going through the recovery process, let's first make sure you have a valid claim.

Every day two people work together to send Snaps to keep a Snapstreak running. Here's what you need to do to keep a Snapstick running:

Send a snap to your friend at least once every 24 hours - a message, picture or video will not be counted from memory.

Receive and open a snap from the same friend within the same 24-hour period.

Send and receive snaps from the same person - a group message will not be counted.

Assuming you've followed the rules and you've still lost your Snapstick, you can get it back by following the steps above.

Note: If your Snapchat app has recently been updated or you have noticed that Snaps does not appear to be read (or some other issue), take a screenshot and save them to your phone's gallery.

Open Snapchat and sign in to your account.

Tap on "Settings".

At the bottom, go to the "Support" section.

"I need help", then tap on "Snapstrix".

"What if my snapstick is gone?" Option from, "Let us know."

Select "My Snapstick has disappeared".

Fill out the form; Include as much information as possible.

Press "Send" to submit your form.

If the clock emoji appears before your streak ends, Snapchat probably won't be able to help. However, you can strengthen your case by retrieving it in the "No Information We Should Know" section of the form.

Or from the Snapchats support page:

Go to Snapchat support.

Select "Contact Us".

Under the "How we can help" section, select "My Snapstriks have disappeared".

Fill out the form with as many details as possible.

Tap "Send" to submit.

If you've seen the clock's emoji before your streak ends, Snapchat may not be able to help. You can support your case for recovery in the "Any information we need to know" section of the form.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do Streaks work?

A snapstick is created when you and your friend exchange snaps (not chats) directly within 24 hours for more than three consecutive days. Once the specified streak threshold is exceeded, you will be provided with these unique emojis:

Fire Emoji: This icon will appear after the three day mark to confirm that you are on Snapstri.

100 Emoji: This icon appears after you have been on Snapstri for 100 consecutive days.

Mountain Emoji: There is a mystery in this award because Snapchat has not confirmed its power threshold.

Snapchatters claim they saw it during an exceptionally long streak.

All emojis are displayed next to your Snapstick partner's name, including the total number of streak days. If you miss a day, it will be reset to zero.

You'll see different emojis across your Snapstick. The fact that your Snapstick is about to expire indicates that you need to keep an eye on the clock emoji. If you want to continue, send a snap to your friend or ask them to send one

What does not count towards a snapstick?

The following five types of interactions will not be counted in your Snapstri:

- Chatting: Text-based chats between you and your Snapstick partner will not count on your streak.

- Group chat: Snapchat will not include a group chat set snap to your Snapstreak. Snap must be sent on a separate basis.

- Story: Recordings of everyday stories will not count on your Snapstri, even if your friend sees the story.

- Specs: If you use Snapchat Spectacles to send content to your streak buddy, it will not enhance Snapstick.

- Memories: Sharing memories with your streak friend will not be considered a Snapstreak interaction.

To keep your Snapstick running, keep things simple. Only send photos or video content to each other.

Is there a Snapchat support number that I can call?

Unfortunately, Snapchat does not have a support phone number. To answer questions and resolve errors, you need to contact them via their "Contact Us" webpage.

Will Snapchat support help me get my Snapstreak back?

Depending on what caused you to lose your Snapstick and whether your claim is justified. However, there are many users who have recovered their Snapstick by following the steps above. If you unjustly lose your Snapstreak, the company is more likely to return your Snapstreak.

Should I tell Snapchat that I've seen the clock timer?

This is a common question, and based on what we've seen, it's best to be honest with the company when filling out the questionnaire. For example, if you see the clock icon but you can't respond to Snap because you don't have a cellphone service or the app has a problem, be sure to let Snapchat know.
