How to Hide Posts from Someone or Certain Followers on Instagram 2023

1. Creates a close friend list
Close friend list on Instagram is a feature that allows you to create a list of your closest followers on the platform, with whom you share everything. However, this option only applies to your stories, not your posts.
So, when you upload a story and select the green star while uploading it, only people added to your close friends list will be able to see them. Do you want to know how it is done? We will tell you all about it in the following steps:
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Go to your profile, click the three lines in the top right to find a scroll-up menu. From that menu, tap Settings to go to the Settings tab.
Step 2: From the list of available options, find and tap Privacy to go to your account's privacy settings.
Step 3: On the Privacy tab, locate the Interactions section and find Stories from the list of options within the section. Once you find the story, tap on it.
Step 4: In the Story tab, the second option will be Close Friends. If you have never used this feature before, you will find 0 people written below it. Tap on it, and you'll be taken to a different page, with a search bar at the top and a list of suggestions (from your list of followers) at the bottom.
Step 5: In this list, you will notice a blue add button next to the names of all your followers. Scroll through this list and tap Add next to the profile of each person you want to share your stories with and your list is ready.
Another interesting thing about this feature is that Instagram does not limit the number of people you can add to this list. So, whether you have three close friends or three hundred, Instagram doesn't care.
2. Using "Hide stories from" feature
We recommend you to go with this option when you have problems with certain people and want all your stories to be hidden from them. You can also add an unlimited number of people to this list, but note that they will be limited to seeing all of your stories unless you remove their names yourself.
Now, if you are planning to hide your stories from certain people, then you need to follow the first three steps from the last section. Once you're in the Stories tab, follow these steps:
Step 1: Under the Viewing section of this tab, the first option you will find is: Hide stories from.
Below that, you will find 0 written; Tap on it. You'll get a similar list of your followers as before, but this time with an empty circle next to their name.
Step 2: Once you tap on these empty circles, they will turn blue, with a white tick in between. And everyone you check here will be restricted to see all stories uploaded after this point.
How to Hide Posts from Someone or Certain Followers on Instagram 2022
1. Open your Instagram app.
2. Toggle on your profile.
3. Tap the three stacked lines at the top-right of the screen
4. Tap "Settings".
5. Select "Privacy".
6. Under the tab "Account Privacy."
7. Toggle on “Personal Account” option.
If you don't want someone to see your story, you can hide your story from them and prevent them from seeing what you add to your story in the future. To hide your story from someone:
1. Tap your profile picture on the bottom right to go to your profile
2. Tap More options at the top right, then tap Settings
3. Tap Privacy, then tap Stories
4. Tap the number of people next to Hide Story From
5. Select the people you want to hide your story from, then tap Done (iPhone) or tap in the upper left (Android). To hide your story from someone, tap to unselect them.
You can choose people to hide your story from as you see who has seen your story Tap More Options (iPhone) or More Options (Android) to the right of their name and select Hide Your Story.
Note that hiding your story from someone is different from blocking them, and does not prevent them from viewing your profile and posts. Your account privacy settings also affect where your stories appear
You can also create a close friend list so that when you share a story on Instagram with close friends, only people on your close friend list can see the story.
